Hello, this IS odd, but true.... The touchpad on my Dell Precision 5490 Laptop (running an up-to-date OEM Ubuntu 22.04 OS) has glitches. It moves little to nothing, then after minutes gradually it goes back to normal, when I arrive in the office after biking.

It doesn't have problems if I commute by bus or car.

It has always had this issue from when I received it last year, just needed some time to realize this pattern, and I didn't have this issue with previous laptops....

Of course, I initially suspected some issues on the software side, looked at the process manager, but I never caught anything strange, until I realized that this relates to me just arriving from biking.

I do use the laptop with my hands dry, but there must be something related to the calibration of the touchpad.. is it something that can be changed in the software (I am not speaking about the speed of the cursor) ?

I got a lenovo laptop for when i did not want to do gaming and i noticed that when i used the bottom corners of the pad it was sticking , the solution was simple i just went out and got a cheap logitech cordless mouse.
hello, but was it related to do some physical activity, coming from outside.. things like that or in general ?

i dont understand why physical activity can relate to a touch pad ... unless i misread your post .

The only logical thing i can think of is that their is a loose connection inside the device
I mean, I didn't want to say physical activity _with_ the device, but if _I_ had some physical outdoor activity (biking) then _this_ touchpad, _with me_, has issues for a while . .
