Tracked threads automation

Hi,

new member here.

If I start a new thread, does it automatically get placed into my tracked threads?
Also, how long does it take for a new thread to appear? I thought I had started a thread (asking a question, about 10 minutes ago), but I'm not seeing it anywhere, I don't know if that's normal?
