Transfering Windows 8 between computers

I need help.

My future brother in law stole my PC, he and the PC is gone.

I still has the original CDs for Windows 8. How do I go about to cancel or deactivate Windows on the stolen PC and install it on the laptop a friend gave me?

sounds like you need the license # and report it to Microsoft so they can do that for you

Call Microsoft, and only if you know the actual license key.
