i am building a new pc and i have a 7800x3d cpu
i was thinking about this ram from g skill trident z cl32 6400 2x16 or 2x24 probably will go for the 24x2 my question is that i saw those kits support xmp and couldn’t find anything about expo amd and they released a model called neo rgb which is specifically for amd. now i just want to know if the normal rgb variant is fine and i will be able to use 6400 on amd cpu or i should find that neo rgb or just get another brand or kit that actually supports expo

So the Trident Z's are meant for Intel platforms, while the Trident Z Neo's are meant for AMD platforms. What motherboard are you looking at to pair your ram and processor purchases? I would go with memory QVL for the motherboard or a ram kit that is known/advertised to have AMD's E.X.P.O.

One more thing you should opt for doing is to flash the BIOS on your motherboard after getting your system to POST for the first time, to make sure you're on maximum compatibility.
