[SOLVED] Tried replacing RAM, now new/old don't recognize.

I have an Alienware x51 r2 with the motherboard PGRP5 0PGRP5. My old RAM stick of Hynix HMT41GU6BFR8C-PB doesn't work so, I had to go to 1 8gb stick for my pc to work. I ordered 2x Hynix D3/102464160MCL or CM10246412800DIMM and the motherboard didn't recognize them either. I get a 2 beep code from my MB with the new sticks, and now my old single stick.

Have you try resetting the bios to defaults

How do you do that, is it by unplugging the CMOS cable?

And when the old single stick was working, I tried it in both slots to make sure it wasn't the MB. When it worked it both slots, that's when I ordered the two other RAM cards..

Tried resetting the bios to default twice, still can't get both the new and old RAM stick(s) to work...

After even more CMOS unplugs and 30 second power pushing....IT WORKS! lol
