I want to do a clean install but I can't seem to get windows 7 to Install to my new Samsung 840 Evo 250GB SSD. I'm installing the OS from disc and every time I go to Install the OS on the SSD I get this. "Windows cannot be installed onto this Disk. This computer's hardware may not support booting to this disk. Ensure that the disk's controller is enabled in the Computer's BIOS menu."
This is my first time dealing with the EVGA Z87 Stinger motherboard and the BIOS is abit new to me so I feel like I could be missing a driver. I've gone into the BIOS, set it to AHCI mode and the CD/DVD as the Boot Priority but still I get the same message.
These are the Specs of the build if it helps
-EVGA Z87 Stinger motherboard
-Intel i7 4770k CPU
-SamSung 840 EVO 250GB
-(2x8GB) 16GB DDR3
-Asus GeForce GTX 690
I honestly feel like I may just be missing something obvious but I just can't figure it out. any help would be hugely appreciated.
