I've been trying to get netflix to play in 4k on my pc. I'm uisng a hdcp 2.2 compatable 4k tv and a gtx 1080ti with windows 10 x64 1607 (anniversary)latest video drivers. I'm using the netflix app from the windows store. After forcing the stream to the highest bitrate with ctrl+alt+shift+s I still see 1920x1080 when using ctrl+alt+shift+d. Do I need creators update?
Solution: Drivers. Need to use 384.80. More recent drivers might also work but I have yet to find one.

not sure if anyone is still following this but I found this

according to this thread it only works on an older driver. I will test it later to confirm but not thrilled about using such old drivers just to get netflix in 4k. Somewhat disappointing if true.
TJ hooker is correct. Recent nvidia drivers eliminate the need for a 7th gen cpu which is good because I'm using a 6600k. I just went back to 1607 as 1709 wasn't doing anything for me and gave me terrible stuttering on games as well as other bugs. It just felt very unstable overall compared to 1607.

I always use ddu in safe mode when installing drivers. I might give the latest a try but they have some pretty bad feedback on guru3d. I tried 388.0 and they didn't work also. Only ones that seem to work are 384.80:??: . Which isn't great because I built this pc for gaming (hence the 1080TI) and prefer to have more up to date drivers. Doesn't have to be the latest but preferably more recent than those drivers.

Anyone using the latest drivers able to get 4k on netflix?
