Hi there,

For quite a while now I've been having trouble with BSODs, my PC runs fine until a BS, restarts and all is well. Some of the stop codes I've been getting include:

DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
KERNEL_AUTO_BOOST_INVALID_LOCK_RELEASE
SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

Things I've tried so far that hasn't worked:

2 fresh installs of Win10.
New SSD with a fresh install of Win10.
Updated all drivers, BIOS, chipset etc.
RMA'd my RAM modules (my RAM model is on the compatibility list for the b450, but the specific ver. is not - not sure if this could be a compatibility issue)
New motherboard.
Used RAM calculator to set timings for my RAM.
Used all the memory diagnostic tools, as well as system check - no results.
Checked for malware/virus, as well as turning all third party software off.

All temps are within range, and nothing is over/underclocked, except having changed RAM timings to what the DRAM calculator deemed the "safe" settings.

System specs are:
Ryzen 5 3600
Rx5700
2x8GB Corsair DDR4 3000MHz
MSI B450m Mortar Max
EVGA 600W BR
1TB Sabrent Rocket M2 SSD
2TB WD HDD
Win. 10

Any help would be great!
Thanks
Harry

I ran the dump files through the debugger and got the following information: https://unenforcedpasta.htmlpasta.com/

File information:041120-3656-01.dmp (Apr 11 2020 - 13:35:56)
Bugcheck:IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (A)
Probably caused by:memory_corruption (Process: System)
Uptime:0 Day(s), 0 Hour(s), 04 Min(s), and 42 Sec(s)

File information:041120-3171-01.dmp (Apr 11 2020 - 13:30:42)

2nd one looks like a GPU error but you didn't have any loaded from what I can see, only drivers running at time were from motherboard or windows.

But as you installing drivers, we see if it continues.

the lan driver installed isn't same one as before, so that is a start.

It's happening a lot unfortunately, seems to happen 2-4 times on every startup, looks like it only saves 5 minidumps at a time so a lot from yesterday aren't available any more, 5 most recent ones below. I installed my GPU drivers as well so that I could use my second monitor, but other than that have left the drivers just as discussed.

Sigh... I can't read them until GM converts them.

does it happen in safe mode?
go to settings/update & security.recovery
under advanced startup, click restart now
choose troubleshoot
choose advanced
choose startup options
click the restart button
choose safe mode with networking
Pc will restart and load safe mode

I suspect its just drivers. if it runs fine in safe mode, it would confirm it at least for most part (safe mode doesn't push hardware as much as normal so it could still be hardware... we shall see)

Alright I've got it in Safe Mode now, will let you know if it happens. Not sure if it's relevant but, weirdly it never happens when I'm playing games. Happens all the time while I'm working, while it's idle, and a lot during startup. But I can have a game open for hours and it won't happen at all.

@Colif, look at the 2nd dump's drivers. This is the one that was in safe mode.

RMA'd my RAM modules (my RAM model is on the compatibility list for the b450, but the specific ver. is not - not sure if this could be a compatibility issue)

so your ram is
BLS8G4D32AESBK.M8FE1

did you buy 2 8gb sticks or 1 set of 2 x 8gb sticks? as that can make a difference, ram sold as a set often works better than 2 bought apart, even if exact same model.

BLS8G4D32AESBK.8FE which is really close but its only a single stick. The sets show on list below as Dual

https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/B450M-MORTAR-MAX#support-mem-19 if it loads as blank, look at compatibility list for matisse

2nd crash - think that Broadcom driver is part of windows. LAN again... it would be unusual but I wonder if there is anything wrong with lan chip on motherboard.

2 were caused by parts of the windows installer crashing, I had to look up the names to see what they were.

Pretty sure problem isn't software. Windows might have crashed twice above trying to install software?

The RAM that is currently in the PC is new since I posted this, to test out if it was a compatibility issue, as my old ram was not on the AMD QVL for ryzen, but these sticks are.
As for the LAN chip, the mini dumps were showing LAN issues on the old motherboard too, no? Maybe unlikely that both motherboards have the same issue with LAN chip?

For anyone here looking for a solution, the problem was the CPU. Replaced the CPU 4 days ago and no crashes since. (Although I've spoken to lots of people with similar errors and totally different solutions, so not saying it is a fix for everyone).
