Hi everyone,

I built my PC a four years ago and very recently started having issues. After playing games for around an hour both my monitors will go black. The audio will continue playing for a couple of minutes before the audio also stops. Then the computer will restart. I noticed a light on my GPU from the PSU flashes during this time.

Given that my computer never displays an error message, I am confused about how to diagnose the issue. I find the computer will not have the issue if I am working or doing something less intensive. However, if I hard reset the PC the issue repeats much quicker and normally in a few minutes. I have tried changing the GPU drivers, and tried to use different cables connecting the PSU to the surge protector to see if the cables were failing.

I would greatly appreciate guidance on how to troubleshoot this issue. Thank you very much,

My computer parts are:
GPU: Aorus 3070
CPU: AMD 3700X
PSU: Thermaltake Toughpower GX2 600W

If I can provide any further information please let me know. And again thank you!

This may be a silly thought as mine was doing similar a few years ago. It was temperature related due to a fan having died. Are you able to view the temps via any software?

Temps are going to rise on demand and it's not having time to cool when you hard reset and rush back into game.

Thanks for the suggestion. I forgot to mention, I have been paying attention to the temps. And normally my CPU and GPU are in the 60 degrees C when the crash occurs. Sometimes even below 60.

I have also tried resetting the graphics drivers when this problem happens. I used Crtl, shift, windows, B. I sometimes hear the beep of the reset. Sometimes I don't but either way the monitors do not start to display anything. I am wondering how to see like a crash code or error message to help?

I am hoping someone more knowledgeable than me replies however a quick search around suggests a 650w is the lowest recommended PSU for your combination. Aorus recommend a 650w PSU on their website.
