Evening all,

Today I received my new computer components, a Ryzen 9 9900x3d and an Asus X870A gaming WiFi motherboard, along with a kit of gskill trident Z neo RGB - 6000mhz.

Upon initial installation, I could get no boot, no bios, no nothing. I updated the bios, problem solved, I could get into the bios. Second issue, I could get no boot into windows as “no bootable drives are detected”, also no problem, as the last time this happened on my old PC, I just had to enable uefi/legacy because of the particular partition my windows installation is on. Issue with that, is now a black screen, no boot to bios, until I clear the cmos. I’ve tried disabling resizable bar, trying uefi only, legacy only, all of them at the same time and still no change.

Any advice would help!

Thanks!

I agree with helpstar and others here who recommend you should do a clean Installation of Windows. Please provide your complete system specs as people here need to know your complete hardware specs before advice can be be offered. Please check your hardware connections reseat all hardware and power and SATA cables.. You should have only your C: drive connected to SATA Port 1 for Reinstalling Windows. Once your mobo POSTS and boots into Windows and you have installed ALL system drivers And Windows Updates, then you can connect your Secondary drives to the system. Are you installing Windows 11 24H2? Please advise . Thank you.
