I am new to overclocking, and I mean new. Basically, I went into my BIOS and looked at all the options. There is a daunting list of options that I can change. So I began to read up on as much as I could. I am, however, still confused on some stuff. I took pictures with me 200 year old webcam that has poor resolution, but here's the image with... well you'll see.

If anyone can help me out, I would be most appreciative. 😀 Thanks in any case!

^ thanks for the pics and the questions.

Most people just get on and ask "how do i overclock".....wich isnt very helpful to the person answering the question..

But we actaully need more info.

Full system specs would help (=

Haha, all right. :) I'll list everything I can think of that I own:
Comp Case - Xion XION2-BK Black ATX Mid Tower Case
http://ncix.com/products/?sku=15437&vpn=XION2%2DBK%2FGN&manufacture=AZZA%20Technology
ram - OCZ DDR2 PC2-6400 (4gig in total)
http://www.ocztechnology.com/products/memory/ocz_ddr2_pc2_6400_ati_crossfire_dual_channel
cpu - AMD Athlon 64 x2 4600+ 2.4ghz dual core Windsor
cpu heatsink - Zalman CNPS9700NT Copper CPU Heatsink 110MM
http://ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=21680&vpn=CNPS9700%2DNT&manufacture=ZALMAN%20TECH
video card - ATI Radeon x1950 XTX 512mb
motherboard - Asus M2r32-mvp crossfire xpress 3200
I think those are all of the factors that can make an overclocking difference.

My main questions though, is not whether I can overclock to a certain degree, but what the things mean. 😛 But if you do have a rough idea as to what I can overclock to, that would be cool as well.

Ok,

I'm more of an intel person.

The guys that you wanna ask about AMD are:

Videl

Xtc

and ovrclkr

Hopefully they will answer soon 😉

Overshocked, just read your sig, You have an E8500 running at 4.93Ghz being fed 1.8v's with air cooling?

Sorry to go off topic but Ive just gotta call bullshit on that one.

The core contact freezer is a good cooler, but it isnt that good.

I have a screenie if you like (=

Its all true. I had about 10 high speed fans pointing at it. It was still getting WAY hot even in the bios.

You can see it was as unstable as hell. The sidebar in vista was screwing up, as well as the bottom.
