Hey guys,
Im looking at assembling a spare PC using what I have around. I collected these parts from various friends, random buys etc.
What I plan on using is:
Asus z87 Deluxe/Dual motherboard
Intel i7 4770k CPU
Corsair Dominator DDR3 CMP16GX3M2A1600C11 (QTY:2)
Noctua NF-A14 PWM (QTY:2)
Sapphire Radeon HD6870 ( https://pcpartpicker.com/product/82sKHx/sapphire-video-card-1003143l )
Few Random SSD/HDDs
Windows 7
Check list below:
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/hFGLZ8
Questions are:
1. Under PC part picker it says that the Memory is listed 1.65v and the processor wants 1.5v... Is that going to be a problem?
2. Being that the PC is going to be mostly used for internet use ( I know overkill ), image editing and MAYBE some gaming, should I just use the onboard graphics or should I use the old Radeon 6870?
3. Will that CPU cooler, cool the CPU fine? Im going to have one case fan pulling in the front and pushing out the upper rear. May have two fans in the front and one pushing in the rear ( but Id prefer to keep it quiet with just two fans. ) Other CHEAPER alternatives if this one wont work?
4. Will that power supply cut it? Says 377w on PCPP.com's estimate. And that is with the HD6870 ( and thats if I use it or not, depending on what you guys think ) That would be at MAX power requirements...
5. There will no no OC'ing.
6. I will also have one HDD that will hold programs, but Windows will be ran off of an SSD.
7. Lastly, how should the CPU cooler fan be oriented? Blowing towards the exhaust fan in the rear, or sucking from the other side ( by the exhuast fan )>?
