Trying to change my CPU

Hello, I want to change my CPU from a Intel Pentium B950 2.10 GHz to an Intel Core 2 Quad Q8400 2.66GHz processor. Can i do this/will my motherboard support it? I am trying to do this change so that my computer can run games at a decent frame rate without the high cost.

Sorry but here is my last question. My socket would fit it, but would my motherboard support it? (samsung series 3 laptop)

That you'll have to check support on your laptop, many laptops can take CPU upgrades, many more can't

You wanna change your PC configration in C2Q 2.66Ghz. But i wanna recommend to you for Asus Motherboard with AMD 4Core Processor. your will get the new experience and very interesting speed. This motherboard already have to be Graphic enabled and support 8GB ram and you can extend the configration when you want. you realize the new experience in Desktop.
