So I bought 2 of these solar panel garden led from Aliexpress, but one of them stopped working a few days ago, when I opened it up, the pcb was wet and there was clearly a shortcircuit.

Tried replacing the pcb with a random 3a output one I could find, and the battery life turned abysmal, before, just running on the stock 2pcs of 18650 it could last from 7 till 5 in the morning, now at 11 it's already really really dim and at 1 it dies. One thing I notice is that the this one with the replaced pcb is waaaay brighter than the other one, the stock one.

So yeah, I don't know what the output current of the stock pcb is, but I imagine it'd be something like 500ma to 1a not 3a.

I currently reside in Indonesia and I can't buy anything from abroad, used to buy things from aliexpreps all the time no problem (country's dumbass policies). I can't find a pcb that has a smaller output current anywhere on the marketplace here.

I'm thinking maybe I could add resistors to limit the output current, but I don't really know what to use, I'm just a try to diy fix everything while learning on the go type of person.

Here's all the info I can get from the solar panel's stock listing :

Out of the 4 led I only use 2 on each side of my gate.
