The DVD player really has only one good way to send out signals - a Composite Video Out and two Stereo Audio Out RCA jacks. The handiest way to connect from there to your TV will be with a three-cable set with RCA connectors on both ends of each cable. Typically these will be color-coded Yellow (Video), White (Left Audio) and Red (Right Audio). Something like this

The back panel of your TV will have input jacks with similar color coding. Make sure you use the ones with labels for Composite Video and Stereo Audio. Your TV also has a set of three RCA inputs jacks for Component Video, which is not the same and has different...

The back panel of your TV will have input jacks with similar color coding. Make sure you use the ones with labels for Composite Video and Stereo Audio. Your TV also has a set of three RCA inputs jacks for Component Video, which is not the same and has different color coding. However, SOME TV's use the same input jack for the video portion of EITHER Composite Video or Component Video. So, read you TV manual for details.

When you get it hooked up, check the manual for how to use the TV's menus to select the correct input to display in the screen.
