TurboV....hmmm, I used to use it but I have read many stories where it conflicts with BIOS setting which is where OC needs to be done.
TurboV does not provide the level fo granularity that the bios does. I think that if you have a system that you haven't oc'd yet, and you are curious what will happen if you push the processor some, then it has a place.
Try adding 10 - 15% to the processor speed, so if you have a 2.8, try setting it 3.1 or 3.2. Bump the vcore by about 1/2 that, so from 1.2 try 1.26, or .27, but don't go to 1.3.... and click apply.
Chances are it will stick and you are safe pretty much from overheating. But you do need to be monitoring core temps, before and after. Even if you've stock HSF, you should be able to...
