Question Turn an LCD display into an "LED display"

Hi,

I'm a newbie, sorry if this question is a bit dumb.

I need a display that looks similar to a 200x200 RGB LED Matrix panel.
With an actual size of approximatively 20x20cm

I'm not sure if this even exists. And anyway those are too expensive for what I want to do.
I'm looking for something under 10usd.

I've noticed that small LCD displays are pretty cheap for a high resolution compared to LEDs.

So I'm wondering if there's any solution that could do the trick? For example by using an LCD display with a fresnel lens or something like that?

Thanks!

For sure, there's nothing you can do with $10 (just LEDs to make this cost uch more). If you want this really to work as a computer monitor (that is, something you plug into a PC, and reports with "Resolution: 240x160", you need much in parts and skills.

What is the intended project?

It's not meant to be a computer monitor.
I'll use an Arduino.
My goal is to make some kind of a retro gaming display (Tetris, Space Invader...).
A resolution around 200x200 would be good enough.

I'd like it to look like this Ada fruit display (but with a higher resolution).
And to keep it affordable, I was wondering if there's any way I could use a cheap lcd display (see picture below), and by using a fresnel lens or something like that, turn it into something that looks like this Ada fruit display.
