Turtlebeach XO Four w/ mic on computer. How?

How do I make my Turtlebeach XO Four headset work either as just a mic or a mic and headphones on my computer?

Pick up something like this or pretty much any stereo in and mic splitter input, connect it to the audio out and mic and connect it to your TurtleBeach Ear Force XO Four's jack to it.

Here's an illustration(pulled off Asus's Cereberus page but the principle is the same)
