Hey all,
Last night I tried hooking up a GTX 950 to a 4k TV (LG 49UH611T) via its HDMI, and the results were pretty bad, EG For some reason I could not get the GPU to output at 4:4:4 chroma at 4k/60hz, and TV scaling is AWFUL, so I tried scaling on the GPU, which looked much better, except for one issue: the refresh rate is locked at 30hz, even if I dropped the resolution down to 1440p or 1080p.
I am using Win 7 Ult with all of the updates, as well as using the latest nVidia drivers, I am curious if this is by design or if there is a possible workaround to get the scaling done on the GPU as well as retaining 60hz? I never had this problem on a desktop monitor, only via the TV for some reason.
Thanks!
