My current PC has 2 sticks of (VENGEANCE® LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 DRAM 2400MHz C16) I have two new sticks that are (VENGEANCE® LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 DRAM 3000MHz C15).

Will I have any issues because the installed is 2400MHz and the new one is 3000MHz?

Motherboard is a ROG MAXIMUS VIII HERO LGA1151 DDR4 DP HDMI M.2 U.2 USB 3.1 Z170 ATX

thanks in advance

Solution
Mixing memory is always a crap shot.
Might work at 2400 speeds.and everything be fine.
Might not boot at all.
Might boot with really crappy slow memory speed and timings and work ok .
Might boot and appear to run fine but you get this random crash that seems to be anything causing it. Until finally your hard drive has corruptions everywhere and your computer crashes more and more.
The choice is yours.
Try it. but check memory timings and speeds after boot.
Then run memtest86 on it for several passes.
If any errors, try a slight voltage bump on the memory and test again.
If still errors ,do not use.
If no errors and you got lucky with timings enjoy.
I ALWAYS run matched sets, and do not risk the problems of miss matched memory.

Greatly appreciate this. Since amazon can deliver a 2400mhz in 2 hours, I reordered the correct one so I don't have to have any worries.

thanks again!
