I installed two DVD RWs hoping to use both drives as DVD writers as well
but only the one connected to the master channel work as writer and the
one connected to the slave channel does not. Is there a way to make
both of them work as writers?

What application are you using to write to them?
I have three in one such configuration and all work fine - just not with
Windows XP Native software - although I wouldn't be able to actually use
that for DVDs anyway.

If you are using XP's inbuilt CD burning utility,

You can only enable CD recording for one device at a time.

Only One CD-R or CD-RW Disk Drive Can Be Used to Create Compact Discs in
Windows XP

Thanks to Shenan, Wesley and Stuart for the responses.

I am using Easy DVD Creator 7. I have just started using this software
and do not know well how to use it. So far I think I have figured out
how to use either one of the two drives as a writer. Only problem is
that I am unable to do multi-session writing. If I attempt to write for
the second time a pop up display says "Insert a blank disk". This is
somewhat off topic but any suggestion would be appreciated.

Should be an option to leave the session open, or don't click close session.
When you're done burning, close the session on the last burn. Using Nero
here.

Thank you for your response.

Does this means it is not posssible to add more data to the disk later?
I thought I can add more data to it any time after the first burn as
long as there is enough space left in it.
