Question U.2 to SATA for laptops. (Made a mistake)

I have an unused m.2 nvme ssd and thought of installing it into an older laptop to replace its HDD in the 2.5" bay. I went online and purchased an adapter which turned out to be M.2 NVMe > U.2 (SFF-8639 I assume) (link : https://bit.ly/2UPnvw9). So, I looked up online for a Sff-8639 to SATA converter but only managed to find this (https://bit.ly/2DGvc1Z) which says it is a SFF-8482 to SATA converter. Would this work?
Any help would be greatly appreciated,Hoping to not make any further mistakes.

No, that won't work. I'm not sure such an adapter exists, and if it did I doubt there's one that would fit is a laptop.

My understanding is that it has a 2.5" SATA bay, but the OP bought an NVMe M.2 drive. So they want a SATA to PCIe M.2 adapter that fits in a 2.5" drive bay.
