So... basicly what they are saying is that anonymous could actually do damamge, but they are not doing so and only making ppl look bad?

yeah, they are such a threat....

Annonymous for the win (as long as they stay legit) 😀.

Messing with the Industry Control Systems is very bad. It could put the entire nation to a halt. It's like waging war against the nation. I wonder if some these Annonymous individuals are backed by Governments from other nations??

well if they are good could you tell them to get rid of my personnel info and possibly cc info they stole from PSN before they sell it to the highest bidder (if not already)

I love how half the people complain agains Lulzec, and their "sheep hearding ways" are the people buying into the "Ilife" style from apple.

anon hasnt hacked a plane, havent toppled or stalled a nuke reactor in a foreign country, they dont infect the power grid machines and shut out your light etc....

OHHHWAIT thats Govs job... 😵

I dont vouch for them, and Im sure half of them are followers for the handfull of the group that actually have root. So for those of you who hate on anon, go post more pics of yourself on facebook, that way you keep the cia happy knowing where you are, and you keep the money flowing into the pockets of the people that sell your information online, good job sheep.

[citation][nom]digitalgriffin[/nom]It's all fun and games till anonymous shuts down the cooling system on a nuclear reactor.I say make an example of them. The damage they could do is immeasurable on the level of national espionage. We're talking 50 year sentences for those caught.[/citation]

Hahaha. Oh yes, because any of the actions they have taken thus far has resulted in the risk of physical harm to innocent people. Oh no, they attempt to fight corporations and organizations that attempt to limit freedom of speech....scary. You are right sir, the next step has to be a full-blown terrorist attack that will potentially harm thousands of people. That's like comparing the Scott Walker protests in WI to 9/11. haha.

A lot of kids are still upset that they couldn't play PSN for a month and on top of that their parents totally grounded them because they got a bunch of credit card charges on their bill. I mean, come on parents, it's credit, you don't have to pay it back!

Here's some reality. Anon isn't some elite group of hackers. They use tactics anyone could figure out how to use and get the programs for. If ICS needs to be warned about them, I can't even imagine what the Chinese government sponsored hackers could do to this entire nation in a heartbeat. Who needs to launch nuclear missiles when you can just flip the cooling switch on every nuclear plant in the country? The US has been focused on building better bombs and meanwhile they're learning how to turn those bombs right back at their targets.

Of course, ICS probably already knows about those threats. This just was published by the media in an attempt to further demonize these silly hacktivists who don't want to get in line with the rest.

People should be supporting Anonymous no matter what. It's time people started acting up against the corporations but no, with evidence taken from this thread, I can see that some of you are more than willing to bent down and take the corporations meat stick. Corporations are the end of the world

Is the government so afraid of an unorganized group promoting freedom of the interwebs? It should go looking for bigger fish actually looking to do damage to the public.
