Production isn't mostly going to move back to the states but it will most certainly move out of China if the tariffs make a dent in sales enough to easily create incentive to move production anywhere where those tariffs will not be in effect. It makes it possible for corporations to justify the cost of moving operations this way as it will be seen as being done to raise market value to investers who often don't care about what any company is doing as long as what it is doing is making them money on their investment. China has enough of a base industry now that is doesn't need foriegn business to come in and begin to modernize it, plenty of other nations could use the modern industry to begin spreading money into areas that could then be developed around that money that industry provides. It would be nice to see more then just "Made in China" on everything eventually also. With so many countries around the world you would think that there would be some more variation in those markings when you look at all the modern electronics and appliances on the market.
