Question Ubuntu 24.1 is painfully slow ?

Hi.
I wish I did not open a new thread.
I used Pi imager to install Ubuntu.
So latest release is running very slow with 8GB RAM on a Raspberry Pi 5.
Every action I do is running with a delay of up to a minute.
I read many complained about it, and that 23.10 runs simply fine, but I cannot find a link to download version 23.10.

Hmm there is no image for arm64:
