Hey guys! I have a few questions before I buy my build and was hoping you could help me out real quick.

Currently I am going with a 4870 x2 card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150349

but I am a little worried the motherboard. Since I am on a budget I was going for this mobo - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128392

I am also getting a phenom 2x4 955 BE 3.2 proc. - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103674 which I'm going to overclock to around 3.8

The other board i was looking at is the ud4p board: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128378

Now, the things i am worried about are can the first board even support the 4870 x2? I've read in a couple places that it won't use the full potential of the x2 card since it's not a crossfire board but i'm not sure if these sources are reliable, I know the difference between crossfire and x2 cards, and I personally see no reason why it wouldn't work with that motherboard but I cant seem to find anywhere showing the two products working together.. Also with me overclocking the processor would the second board be a better choice?

I don't plan on getting a second 4870 x2 for quite some time, but will probably in the future years to come. or step up to newer cards that eventually come out, but for now i will be using just one for a long time i think. I'm just abit worried buying that first motherboard without asking for any advice.

They are wrong. You will be able to use the 4870X2 perfectly on the UD3P. Out of the two boards listed, I would go with the UD4P, mainly due to possible CrossFire. Also drop CPU down to a X3 720 or a X2 550 to save cost. That should be fine for gaming. Also, what PSU and case?

I would like to keep the processor i'm getting, mainly because one of the games i'm getting is GTA 4, and im sure games are going to get progressively more cpu& gpu demanding, as for the case im getting im going for the antec 1200 and the 750tx corsair power supply. the current build i have right now is around $1350 after combo deals and shipping with the ud3p board from newegg. my budget is around $1450 so i'm still under that, so i DO have room to go with the other board, i would just have to wait a little longer to get new games with my new build, which really isnt any problem, rather get better hardware first ^^

EDIT: im looking for a somewhat future proof system on a decent budget, which is why i went for the x4 955 and the 4870 x2.
