udma6 in winxp

How? New drivers, but which?

I tried to run the trial licenced win2k3 just to check it out.. and yes, amongst a lot of new features; it also supported udma 6 for my 2nd maxtor (read sig.) on the i865PE-82801EB I/O controller. And I found my bandwidth at 105mb/s (on udma6) instead of 85mb/s (on udma5 config). Of course I would like this in winxp too.. any ideas? Or should I "just" wait for sp2?

SP1 also supports udma 6

it already has it installed, including the newest Intel Chipset Drivers for 865PE/875P, still "sexpee" won't go.. 😉

mine is working... its at udma 6, but i got SP2. i was reading on ms site and it said sp1 also enables it.



try taking that hammer to bills head maybe? don't hurt him too bad tho, i like the guy.

My computer displays: Service Pack 1 and not Service Pack 1a.. might be an issue 😉 I am downloading it now..

you might like sp2 even more. i know i do. its still in beta but it works well.
