Ultimate AMD System

I have a budget of $1250. I want to build the ultimate AMD gaming system and a well rounded system. I would like to play games like BF4 and Metro Last Light at max settings at least at 1920x1080p. I would prefer all the parts to be from one retailer.

So basically make this PC as balls to the walls as possible while staying in the budget.

The only thing I will say is there is no need for a 850W PSU. Other than that it looks like a solid build. I would also add a SSD as that will easily fit your budget.

that don't improve performance, but are costly, whilst the GPU isn't super and an SSD would make a massive difference.

Therefore, I'd get an extreme 3 mobo, saving $80, a cheaper case saving $40, a lower power PSU, saving $50 and put the $170 to a R9-290 or a bit more to include a 128GB SSD.

no worries. I haven't got time, but a quick search will reveal a R9-290 is faster than the R9-280X and SSD will make everything that loads from disk much faster. However big games will need to go on a normal HDD if you have a few of them
