Is there any difference inperformance when using a CD-R-RW drive on a standard 40 Conductor or an 80 conductor.

I've had a few problems when using a CD or CD-RW on the same ATA66/100 cable as the master HD. I've had no problems with ATA33 (40 conductor) cables.
