What can I do to avoid or remove confusion caused by Unger Hulks?

Dispel Magic doesn't seem to work. Is there a spell that will?

Thanks,
chris.

You can avoid being confused by casting chaotic commands (5th level cleric
spell) and remove it by casting dispel magic, just make sure the mage or
cleric casting dispel magic has a high enough level, otherwise the chance
of dispelling the confusion is very low. IIRC a bard song sung by a high
level skald (?) should also prevent confusion.

RCV: There are also a number of weapons/magic items that protect against
confusion, perhaps the most notable being Lilicor, the +3 Two-Handed Sword
you get in the Copper Coronet sewers. Since Umber Hulks only use their
confusion ability against the closest enemy, this is a good time to equip
that sword and have that tank advance to melee while the rest of the party
assists him with spells/ranged attacks.
Since Minsc has two pips in 2-H swds, he is sort of a no-brainer [no pun
intended] to carry and wield this excellent piece of equipment, which is
available almost from the start of the game - indeed he won't find a better
"free" weapon for quite some time....

(Minor) spell de/reflection also works. I've never tried the (Minor) Globe
of Invulnerability, maybe it works. Curiously, all flavors of Spell Immunity
don't work.
