I have a corsair Rmx 1000 watt psu (fully modular). I have an issue where I am unable to connect this securely to my gigabyte ha-z97xud7-th motherboard. The cable does not click into place I have used force however any more and the board would snap. This is a big issue as the power cable works it's self loose which means the PC randomly powers off after a few hours. I push the cable in harder and it works but then works it's self loose again. I have connected all of the cables up correctly and I have built PCs before and have not experienced this issue. Does anyone have any suggestions?. I really do not want to have to return the power supply for another model. Thanks and any advice would be appreciated. Tom

I'm assuming you checked the clip on the 24-pin connector to make sure that it isn't sprung.
Make sure the 4-pin component of the 24-pin connector is fully seated in the connector.
Hopefully you have enough room to place your fingers underneath the mobo with your thumbs on both sides of the connector. If so, pull up with your fingers while pushing the connector down with the thumbs.
If it still won't click into place, check both the connector and the header to be sure nothing is blocking any one of the 24 holes.

Do you have another 24-pin connector (either a spare or on another PSU) that you could try to seat? If it will seat then it's definitely an issue with the Corsair's connector.
