[SOLVED] Unable to extend C Drive

Hello Everyone,

I have a server in AWS running Windows Data Center 2019.

C Drive has less free space so I wish to extend it. However I am not getting that option in spite of free space and unallocated space showing next to it.

Please let me know what to do so that I can increase size of C Drive.

Can you delete the empty spaces behind the system volume?

But you are just buying yourself some time... With 1gb free space now, and projected 3gb if you can extend the volume, you will be in the same boat couple of months from now.

I managed to do this using disk management by deleting free space.

I give it a month before you're in the same condition of 'no free space'.

Is this on a physical drive (32GB?) or in a VM?

Never used AWS, some other platforms allow for in-place "HDD Extension".
