i tried to format my pendrive but just hang there. i try to format from disk management also cant? why ya? i cant copy anything to the pendrive. the message box will just display "copying......." but nothing moves,but i can open files and read.

this happened after i tried to install LiveXp into it and format using the livexp.bat command prompt.

Don't force it - If you got lots of errors or problems while using the pendrive might as well stop using it. It has it's limits - If it is still under warranty then return it or buy a new one.

hey! i have got a solution for this
go to cmd and type diskpart
than type list disk
Next type all the below commands one by one. Here I assume that your disk drive no is “Disk 1”.If you have Disk 2 as your USB flash drive then use Disk 2.Refer the above step to confirm it.
So below are the commands you need to type and execute one by one:
SELECT DISK 1
CLEAN
CREATE PARTITION PRIMARY
SELECT PARTITION 1
ACTIVE
FORMAT FS=NTFS

after completing to 100 your pendrive will work

I have the same problem: Pendrive appears in Computer folder, but can't access or format it.
I did what you said, but I got an error message: "There is no media in the device."
Can someone please help me? :(
