unable to install net framework 3.5 in my win xp sp3

when I install net framework 3.5 on my pc, the installation process is completed successfuly but at the end there is a setup error saying "an error occurred during installation".
please help me to install it in my pc...

1. You may need to reset the Windows Default permissions with SubInACL according to the instructions on the winhelponline website.

2. You may need to install the latest version of Windows Installer for Windows XP...

3. Or download NET Framework from another source.
