Question Unable to install windows 10

About 2 weeks ago I decided to give Linux a try, so I installed elementary os. I didn't work out and I want to reinstall windows 10 the thing is that when I was in windows 10 I made a partition, I used that partition to save all my data so when I moved to Linux I didn't have to back up anything because the partition would just show up on Linux, and it did. Now I'm on the windows 10 setup and I can't install Windows on the partition that Linux was because that partition it's not formatted as ntfs, so how do I format this partition as ntfs without harming the other partition where I store my data?

More info: Drive uses MBR, Computer is on legacy mode not uefi.

do you mean you want to keep the partition with the data on?
why are you using legacy and not uefi?
