Greetings!

OS is Windows 2000 Professional
IE Version 6.0

Just recently I have not been able to complete "Scan for
and attempt recovery of bad sectors."

It scans about 90% complete and then I get a Blue Screen
of Death which appears for about one second, and then the
computer reboots.

The message on the Blue Screen:

*** STOP: 0x000000D1 (0x6D6F7444, 0x00000006, 0x00000000,
0xBFF71E3E)
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

*** Address BFF71I3E base at BFF6E000, DateStamp 3bd89c65 -
IdeChnDr.sys

Beginning dump of physical memory
___

I perform Disk Cleanup, Check Disk & Defragmentation quite
often, and never have had a problem until recently. Disk
Cleanup & Defrag seem to be working fine, but as I said,
unable to complete "Scan for and attempt recovery of bad
sectors."

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thank you!

Ron

Do you have "Intel Application Accelerator" installed? In that case, try
uninstalling it. I have seen others having similar problems after
installing this software.

Best regards
