There is another option

Go here on a PC that isn't having installation problems - https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/software-download/windows10
click the 2nd link that says Download tool now
this downloads the media creation tool. Use it to make an installer USB.

Once USB created, put it in the non working pc with windows running.
Open file exploder (Win +e)
navigate to usb & run setup
it will offer to upgrade current PC
follow instructions

Now its possible this will just fail again but this time, you have an installer. The last 2 times you have had to download the files again, so it saves some time. I would suggest a clean install if the updates won't work. At least you can make sure you have copies of everything before you...

if DISM error is something about Source, then the clean install is likely fastest answer. Source command needs an iso that matches the currently installed version, and unless you happen to have that, you can't use a newer version.

I would back up all my files and do a clean install. Screw upgrades when you have these kinds of issues.

what if I try to restore health first using the matching version and then after that we update? is that possible? if yes where can I get iso for my windows 10 version?
