Hey all,
Recently I purchased an I5-7600 Kabylake processor and installed it into my Skylake motherboard model 0C2XKD (U3E1) which is manufactured by Dell and is part of my inspiron 3650. However, I quickly discovered that the computer no longer boots when doing so. When looking around on the internet people with similar problems were given the advice to update the system BIOS. However, I'm certain that I have the latest BIOS version (3.8.0) and I am beginning to worry that Dell has simply not provided a BIOS update to make their skylake motherboards compatible with Kabylake processors like other manufacturers have done. Does anyone here know whether this is the case?
PS Since my PC still works with my old processor (I5-6400) I don't think this is a hardware problem.
