Question under performing gaming laptop help

I've ran a benchmark (https://www.userbenchmark.com/Software) and the results are that the PC is under performing badly when gaming, i have no clue what to do any help would be appreciated. furthermore the CPU is also said to be high despite task manger not suggesting so

It seems this is a problem for a lot of people due to the laptops thin design.
Also, did this start happening recently or has it always ben an issue?
