uninstall yahoo messenger

when i tried to uninstall yahoo messenger,the response was.could not
openinstall.log file.can anyone help.i have tried the file search ,but
without any luck

Obviously a file is missing. The easiest way around the problem
(theoretically) is to actually install Yahoo Messenger again and then
uninstall it. With many programs that refuse to uninstall simply
reinstalling and then uninstalling solves the problem.
