Amen to that Jeanie!! I've come to the conclusion, as hard as it's going
to be for me, that
I am NOT going to let Sims 2 make a freaking downloading idiot out of me
like I let The Sims 1 do. LOL

I have downloaded huge amounts of stuff, start to build a house and
decorate, find myself taking hours to
get it accomplished, then too tired to even play. LOL Oh yeah, and it
takes so long to get it all in the game to
begin with and check it out with the Sims clean installer checking for
dups and stuff.

I've decided I just don't have that much time to devote so I've made
another account on my PC with just
the Sims 2 plus University without any downloads and only my hacks, now
those I can NOT live without.
I will test myself to see if I have as much fun and if I do, bye bye to
all downloading sprees and hello to actually
enjoying the game AND my real life!! HAHA

Not understanding this part at all here. You download it and put it in your
downloads and voila, it's in the game.
Course i don't download houses anymore, and rarely download skins, so guess
it may be easier on my end.
I've only had one problem with one object, and the creator is still working
on why.............as I was not the only one with the problem.

Oh, they show up in the catalog all right, but I find that I'm not using
them in any of the houses like I must have thought I would when I snagged
them. I must have well over 100 pieces of bedding, for instance. There's
no way I'm going to use that many! And all those recolors of kitchen
appliances! What made me think I'd ever want a purple kitchen?!?
