Hello people, I've been getting random temperature spikes of 128C on one of the three temp sensors of the motherboard according to HWMonitor. I have no idea what's causing it, I have good airflow and a Corsair H55. Even weirder it doesn't happen while gaming or when I stress test with Valley and 3DMark. If I open HWMonitor again temp stay the same unless I restart the PC.
Here's how everything looks like in HWMonitor.

Solution
Those readings are incorrect. I don't believe you could reach those temps in idle. It is even to excessive for gaming. Many mobos, cpus and gpus have a safe temp. When the temp becomes to high the system shuts down to "save itself" from overheating. Try reinstalling the program to see if it continues.

Thanks for the response, I will try reinstalling it, I really hope its just a wrong reading like you stated, I don't want to melt my mobo xD

Sorry for bringing this thread up again, I tried SpeedFan and I came to the conclusion that I might have a faulty sensor because it recorded temps of -128C, which is even crazier.
