Hello. Today my Ethernet was going off and on..so decided to check device manager. In the device manager, in "Other Devices" section, there was unknown device with yellow exclamation mark. I don't know what to do...when i go to hardware IDs at details ....there is some text like ACPI/VEN_AMD something like that. What to do?

I haven't touched the system yet....as I am sick and will be going to hospital.... that's why...I will install it when I will go home today🙃.

Edit: I tried yesterday using this link https://www.amd.com/en/support/downloads/drivers.html/chipsets/am5/b650.html
but it said this version cant run on pc
Get yourself better, the PC can wait.
As for the driver, that is different...

Is this PC custom made or did you buy it off a company? Reason I ask is its possible its a custom model Motherboard. I don't know if it is, but some OEM like Cyberpower have their own special boards and they might have changed the drivers. It would be different.

How to check that ?
I assume you mean BIOS version
search for "system information" in search on windows and choose the application
on the front screen, the BIOS version should be just under the CPU description

BIOS version might also explain why chipset drivers showed that message.
MSI use different codes for their BIOS versions on websites as opposed to what shows in bios, so might have to match the BIOS via its date

I bought the pc from a company...and yes I meant the bios...and so should I download chipset drivers according to bios version?

Sometimes BIOS versions can add new features so it generally helps to match them up.

Drivers being newer than BIOS is normal though. BIOS updates aren't something I do on a whim. I only do it if I need to for an upgrade of hardware.

Still helps to know which you have as if its really old, it might be the reason for the unknown device

I just bought 5-6 months ago ....not too old

Once you get a chance, have a look at what it shows on System info and let us know.

The motherboard in the PC may have been made in 2023 as that is the age of the oldest bios on that board. It depends if/when the maker updated the BIOS as to what you have. Not all companies upgrade BIOS or even drivers when they sell new PC.

What was name of company who made it? Do they make their own models or just make custom PC up from standard parts?

They are called Ryan's and yeah they Just make custom PC from standard parts

Once you get better

Can you download and run Driverview - http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/driverview.html

All it does is looks at drivers installed; it won't install any (this is intentional as 3rd party driver updaters often get it wrong)

When you run it, go into view tab and set it to hide all Microsoft drivers, will make list shorter.

Take a screenshot from (and including)Driver name to (and including)Creation date.

Just curious what driver versions show on the AMD drivers.
