I have a problem that I think are related with UE4. I have tried everything! When I tried to play
Ancestors.The.Humankind.Odyssey
or
Star.Wars.Jedi.Fallen. Order same thing is happening.
Game freezes at the logo and goes slowly to the menu. It takes minutes, but during that time I can hear music and sounds of my clicking with gamepad controller. I can move through the menu but picture is not moving but jumping minute after I click on something.
My PC is…
Operating System: Windows 10 Enterprise 64-bit (10.0, Build 10586)
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4790 CPU @ 3.60GHz (8 CPUs), ~3.6GHz
Memory: 16384MB RAM
Card name: AMD Radeon R9 200 Series
DirectX Version: 12
Please help!

For one it can depend on what version of R9 GPU you have regarding A: THO. It states a minimum requirement of HD7950, which is basically the same as a R9 280. The R9 series starts at the 270, which scores well below a 280 on Passmark.

Secondly, you're on a very outdated build of W10. 10586 is basically build 1511, and it's now on 1909, I'm still on 1903 because I tend to wait until all the bugs of the latest build are worked out before updating. For instance I had freeze crashes in Wolfenstein Youngblood and Gears 5 right after updating to 1903, which had been out only a little while. One of the cumulative updates for 1903 that came out a little later fixed it for me though. Build 1511 literally came out way back in early 2016 though, so you really should try updating to a newer build.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_10_version_history

Other than that, make sure you are updated to at least 19.11.2 on your GPU driver, which is the one they issued for Jedi Fallen Order support and is compatible with R9 200 series GPUs. This driver also came out less than 3 months after the release of A: THO, so it should work well for it too.

Lastly, I don't recall you saying what controller you're using. Some can have compatibility issues with certain games. Many current games now support the Xbox One controller, and lately many support the PS DualShock 4 as well. Beyond that it can be hit and miss though.

I really doubt it has anything to do with UE4. Unreal Engine has been known to have stutter and hitching issues in some games, especially if the devs are new to using it, but beyond that it works pretty well. It doesn't tend to have issues graphically or control wise.

Two games are pirated from codex. I am from Croatia so it is legal to steal here. I use logitech controler with xbox driver. All other games work perfectly, only these two freeze, and slow down to two frames per minute in the same way with normal sound. It is a same glitch. I blocked windows update because it goes in a restarting loop when it updates. I will try to install new windows. This is my PC in ful...
