MS.crap has performed an illegal operation in run.suck. If the problem persists reboot to Red Hat.

Alt+Enter will run it in full-screen mode.

tried it... and it tries to go to full screen mode.. and then switches back to windowed mode again...

I've had the same problem you do. And it was *software* mode too boot. I wanted to beat someone.

It kept happening after I was 'tweaking' the unreal.ini file. I'm not sure what the deal is, but I ended up cleaning out the registry manually, erasing the entire install folder, and reinstalling then patching.

Cleared it up. I still mess with the .ini file, I just don't mess with everything IN the ini file now. I have no idea what bug I triggered...

I had the same problem. I downloaded new video drivers, Win2K Sevice pack 2, and another patch from Microsoft call the Windows compatibility patch. This patch claims to fix problems with many different types of software, but specifically games. UT runs fine now. The only thing weird is that when I am in the UT desktop, the screen seems to flicker like it is at a low refresh rate. Changing the refresh rate in the preferences doesn't have any effect. As soon as I enter a game, the problem goes away.

😡 Man...this cookie tastes like crap!! 😡

yes.
UT and win2k arnt exactly ideal partners...
ive had that issue, which i solved by a complete reinstall.

i also get other recurring problems, most annoying of which are the memory overflows if i play in windowed mode and laggy behavior in fullscreen.

changed the Nvidia graphics drivers aroudn may help somewhat.
best ive found are the 12.41's or the 21.83's.

The lack of thermal protection on Athlon's is cunning way to stop morons from using AMD. :)
