Is it safe to remove the LocalService and NetworkService folders?

Thanks for advice.

I wouldn't! Nor would I act on one reply from an unknown source. I would
suspect that it's probably not advisable to do so, but I'm not 100% certain.
Caution, my friend.

Thanks for the warning, Colin. But, if you delete these folders or their
"fixed" contents, Windows will reinstate them. I wished to purge them as
they are no longer used. I used Kelly Theriot's tip for deleting the
"undeletable". I was really after confirmation of what I had already read
about. Your concern appreciated and I hope it will be extended to me again
and to others in the future if you feel it necessary.

Thanks Joe, I wasn't sure what the result of deleting the folders would be
hence the cautionary advice, especially after checking out previous posts by
"Ramd". If you had been someone less cautious and had the folder been
"non-reinstatable" there could have been a lot of damage. Glad you got sorted
out though,

Take Care

Colin.
