Unusual ASUS K8V-X Spec query

Hello,

I've made a bit of an error, in that I bought an ASUS K8V-X board (20 pin power connector) and a case with included PSU (24 pin power connector).

I would rather not ship the case back as it will cost me for restocking.

Basically, does anyone know if the -5V pin on the 20 pin connector of the K8V-X board is actually used? I ask because it is the only pin of the 20 that is different (according to the ATX spec).

Any advice would be much appreciated. ASUS tech support didn't know the answer and kept me on hold for just under 15 mins to tell me this.

Just get one of the 24-20 pin converters.

Though no, -5v genearlly isn't used.

Thanks so much for your response. It's amazing isn't it, I'm a support tech for a software company, and I am paid to know my stuff, yet the guys at ASUS couldn't even answer the question about their own products, nor did they have any inclination to help.

tech support in genearl, for comptuers, tends to suck, unless you happen to get the one guy on floor who knows what they're doing. goes for hardware and software.

Or such tends to be my experience.
