Unusual Problem

A few weeks ago, in the interest of HD space, i deleted a bunch of a/c &
scenery files. These items were located in a separate directories
OUTSIDE of the main FS9 directory. I've done this before without any
problems but this time, for whatever reason, i am now unable to use the
"select a flight" option in FS9 ...... it either freezes up or, if it
opens, none of the flights appear in the viewer. When i open the FS9
"Flights" directory, all the various default flights + add-ons appear to
be there .........

Everything else appears to be working just fine as usual.

I suspect that i've accidently deleted a dll file or something but what
i'd like to know is, does anybody know of an simple solution for my
problem? I've got loads of scenery & sound improvements & would like to
avoid starting all over again if i can ..... altho it has been a long
while since i've had to do that.

TIA for any suggestions !

Cheers,

Allan

Try deleting the FS9.cfg located in the C:\documents &
settings\(_username_)\microsoft\FS9. At least that is where my FS9.cfg file
is located. After you delete that file, restart Flight Simulator and it
will rebuild the config file. No guarantees but it is a simple step to try.
