Update ocz agility 3 without wiping

ive got an ocz agility 3 ssd, and its got all my important files on it and my windows 7. i want to update the firmware without losing my data, Can I use the ubuntu ocz update version? If i boot into the ocz ubuntu and update my firmware will my ssd be wiped? how can I backup my coz agility 3 60gb? thanks. i have a 1terabayte hdd but it wont boot. and doesnth have windows 7 on it

Clone the drive to an external hard-drive using clonezilla or something similar then do the work.
