Updated Internet Explorer Manually, Can't Connect to WiFi

After updating Internet Explorer to Internet Explorer 11, I am no longer able to connect to my university WiFi network. When I run troubleshooting, it tells me that it cannot connect to the network due to a "user account problem". I'm using my phone as a temporary WiFi adapter, however I'd obviously like to fix the problem so I don't need to keep my phone plugged in all the time. I only updated to internet explorer 11 because Skype threw a fit, and I don't have a system restore point for before the update. Does anyone have a solution?

Talk to your IT helpdesk. You are certainly not the only one using IE 11.

It's pretty much impossible for us out here to diagnose the specific connection parameters for your university network.
